Emerging in 2018 from Muskegon, MI, United States, Vertex blends hip hop and rap into a genre-defying sound.

Vertex is a rapper from Muskegon, Michigan. His passion for music started as a child listening to music with his parents and took a life of its own when he discovered rap. On some of his darkest nights, he turned to music for comfort. He wants to create the same music he needed on those nights for people going through similar situations. Vertex believes that people can change and recover from a broken past. As he learns and grows in life, he hopes that his music can speak to his listeners in ways that plain words never could.

Inspired by artists such as Steven Malcolm, Beacon Light, NF, and many others that originally made their mark in the Michigan area, Vertex is continually searching for new sounds and lyrics to encourage others.

He has collaborated with artists like Kid Atticus, Purposed with Authority, Stixx, and Jessica Harper. He has performed at Revive Fest and Remix and has opened for Joe Brown, Jas, E.I. the King, Quese and the Unity NOW band, Grace + Max, and Sean Rodriguez.
