    BIGG SIXX is from the Ironmind Community in Wallace- He went to Wallace Rose Hill graduating in with the class of Class of 89. He left there and joined the army- served 8 years, Desert Storm and Desert Shield earring him 3 bronze stars in Dessert storm. He started signing in the church at Friendship Baptist Church in Rose Hill, NC.

    His mom, Patricia Pratt- had him and his brothers in the talent shows
    Gospel groups were big - He was part of the Friendship Young Adult Choir and he couldn’t wait—— so that is how the Birds of Promise - was formed because he wanted to join the Friendship Church so bad…..he was known as Big D.

    He got into mainstream music when he moved backed to NC. He was interested in owning a record company. His first company which ran from 96-98 was Academy Records which he started with his cousin. They hit every open mic up and down the east coast.

    As his popularity grew he he started on the promotion side. He opened up for many acts and made his money hustling tapes and shirts. This hustle led to his understanding of the music business. He started BIGG Enterprises. They were known the PST Boys- they brought down Mel Waters, Theodus Ealy, Jeff Floyd, The Love Doctor, Bruh Man (Comedian) opened up for him at Thalian Hall, Daniel Craig.

    He did Iron Mike Tuesdays for 2 years. Every Tuesday, Iron Mike would have a showcase - and whoever won earned studio time and performed at Summer Jam.

    He is also an accomplished author. It comes from life experiences. He writes it in a hip hop form. He has coined his work as the Hip Hop Blues- His first book "The Greatest Summer I have ever Had" is a tell of his first time flying and doing things in the world at 12 years old)- in 1982.

    His accomplishments include:

    He won the Wilmington Stars and he sang the national anthem at the Hope for the Warriors.

    He tried out for the voice in 2012-2013. He started in Califorina had several callbacks for California and New York. He made it to the Top 3 in New York and he received a call back.

    He is an accomplished singer/songwriter. He is working to build a catalog that will last a lifetime through music art and the entertainment industry.

    He is married to Dametri Pratt and he has 3 beautiful children, and 3 grandchildren.
