The Urban Contemporary solo artist: Eklavya Kaushal. Pronounced "Ék-Love-Yeah" is an Alternative R&B singer, composer, producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from New Delhi, India. Who occassionally dives into other genres like Hip-Hop, Synth-Pop, Acoustic-Pop, and Lo-Fi. Eklavya Kaushal started as a 14 year old kid uploading pop covers on YouTube and eventually released two non-profit EPs "teenage." and "TOXICITY" He considers The Weeknd, Charlie Puth, ZAYN, Mac Miller, and Frank Ocean as his major influences in his music and the one word he would use to describe his music with is "honest." His music speaks about everything from love, relationships to life, and mental health. It's always honest and straight to the point but also includes a deeper approach and metaphors both in the lyrics and in the production at the same time. Basically making you hear, feel, and experience the message in every single song. When it comes to the creative process: "I like to produce, compose, and write every single song that I make since I want my music to be a hundred percent me and obviously no one understands my vision better than me. There's nothing wrong with taking help when you need it, of course. But I try to do everything by myself from scratch to end most of the time because I feel like if I can do that, my vision will reach other people much more clearer and honestly. Also because the whole reason I started writing and making music in the first place was to get my own thoughts out there. That's the aim. " says Eklavya Kaushal

Eklavya Kaushal is a 22 year old solo artist.

He grew up in New Delhi, India. Ever since a young kid he was into performing arts. Both his parents were artists while he was growing up. Even though they didn't do it professionally but that's how his interest in art was formed. Aside from painting, he learned dancing from a very young age of 9. He was very passionate about it. He learned different dance forms from tap-dancing to contemporary. It wasn't until when he turned 11 his mother told him he had a good voice. He started singing and learned how to play drums when he was 12 and instantly started writing. Decided to learn a more melodic instrument to help his writing and his singing, so he taught himself guitar through YouTube videos, which now is his main instrument. Later in his life, he taught himself more instruments like bass, keyboard and etc. Eklavya completed his school in 2016, and he went on to get a degree in Hotel Management and a diploma in Event Management. During his time in internship for Hotel Management he realized his love for music and told himself he's going to do music professionally as soon as he finishes college. During his time in college he did however put out two non-profit EPs titled "teenage." and "TOXICITY" which weren't as polished but it was 100 percent original music by him. Both the EPs are available on YouTube still. And he kept his promise, because right after he completed his college in 2019 when he was 20. He started learning music production, mixing and mastering. And now in 2020 he is about to release his first EP which will be available on all streaming platforms.
