EMERGENCY RULE

Forged in Adelaide, Australia, Emergency Rule deliver crushing, groove-laden heavy rock where Black Sabbath's weight collides with Kyuss' desert swagger, Down's southern grit and the timeless hooks of classic hard rock. Built on earth-shaking riffs, thunderous rhythm sections and undeniable groove, they're a band equally at home on major festival stages and in sweat-soaked clubs.

Since releasing their debut album, The King of Ithaca, the band has earned widespread praise from international rock and metal media, with reviewers applauding its huge riffs, memorable songwriting, powerful musicianship and authentic, groove-driven sound. The album received standout reviews from the press including Powerplay Rock & Metal Magazine (UK) and Metal Hammer Spain, cementing Emergency Rule as one of Australia's most exciting modern heavy rock exports.

A relentless live act, Emergency Rule have toured extensively throughout Australia, sharing stages with Corrosion of Conformity, Suicidal Tendencies, Buckcherry, Dozer, Sasquatch, Hardcore Superstar, Cancer Bats and Atreyu. They've also twice appeared at the internationally acclaimed Froth & Fury Festival, performing alongside some of the biggest names in heavy music.

In 2026, the band returned to Japan for their second tour there, supporting Texan heavy weights Duel before performing a string of headline shows across Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto. The tour further strengthened Emergency Rule's growing international following and showcased the band's reputation for delivering uncompromising, high-energy live performances.

The next chapter began with the release of Hollow Gold, the first single from their highly anticipated sophomore album, Modern Day Villain, due for release in 2027. Expanding on the massive grooves and towering riffs that defined their debut while pushing their songwriting into even heavier territory, the new album sees Emergency Rule sounding bigger, darker and more confident than ever.
