After about 3 years of simply messing around with compositions, sound picks, and even DAWs, I have more-less started discovering my true self with my latest releases, such as the two EPs The Voice of Cryogang and the upcoming "Catch Me Now". I still don't think they are the final identifiers of me, but they sure can give you a brief idea of what I am.

Even though my real name is Illia, the name Hector Cryo does have a special place in my heart. Long story short, on August of 2010 I met some British guys who were pretty cool and... a bit too goofy for a first encounter with me. There was this guy named Hector, and I instantly became best "club buddies", later on with his friends as well. The Cryo bit, however, goes on a rather darker side of my backstory. It's more about some of my bad aspects of my character, namely being too picky on details and being a little too stubborn and too sensitive, at the same time being too cold (rarely though). However, I did not let that stop me at some point, and decided it should be my drive for inspiration.

Now, speaking of actual sounds, heavily inspired by rather unconventional acts, such as ZHU, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Jackal, I do love using dark, sex-appealing and ethereal types of sound that emerge just like our moods can occasionally. Accompanied with moody, yet uprising drum rhythms, it is hard for me to tell the particular genre I am aiming at. In fact, I don't even believe in genres per se.
