JED XO: The Rising Afrobeat Star Making Waves in the Web3 Music Community
JED XO understands the true power of community. Growing up in the Nigerian countryside, JED found his place in the world through the church and music. His passion for music began with the sound of the congo drum and he continued to grow his presence within the online music community through cypher performances and collaborations with other emerging artists.
However, it wasn't until JED XO discovered the world of Web3 that he fully embraced a career in music. Inspired by other independent artists who were leveraging music NFTs, JED realized that he could create the career of his dreams without the support of major labels.
Since early 2022, JED XO has been deeply involved in the Web3 music world, with a growing fanbase around him. His debut track, "Can't Stop," drew inspiration from his modern Afrobeats heroes and his personal experiences breaking into the music industry. JED faces every challenge head-on, believing that with the power of community, anything is possible.
JED XO's most recent release, "Soulcry," is the lead single off his upcoming debut EP, and has received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. In less than five days, he sold out 100 music NFTs, raising over $1,300 and seeing a 65% increase in pricing for secondary sales. "Soulcry" will be available on all streaming platforms on March 22, 2023.
