Lorenzo Coston a/k/a Zo or Pound is an up an coming rap artist who was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. He is inspired by many other southern rappers including 3-6 Mafia, Master P and the whole No-Limit crew, as well as Gucci Mane, Jeezy, and Yo Gotti. His favorite artist and biggest musical influence is the rapper Future. Originally his rap name was Zo Pound, but because of so much confusion and misassociation of being connected with the Miami rapper Zoe Pounds he changed his rap name to BDE Boss.
BDE BOSS grew up in a single parent home with 4 siblings. His father was sent to prison when BDE was a young boy and positive role models were few and far between. He soon ran afoul of the law. A year after graduating from Ashley HS in Wilmington, NC, he landed in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping. He actually held his son in his arms for the first time in a prison visitation room. That moment was one of the saddest days of his life and inspired him to begin writing rhymes and taking his music and business entrepreneurship serious. Upon his release from prison in April, 2015, he created the music lable BDE (Boss Don Entertainment) and jumped straight into the booth to begin making music.
BDE BOSS: "I honestly love what N. Carolina is bringing to hip-hop and I am ready to add to it."
