• Michael Maloney releases his latest, Country inspired song "Any Road"

Michael Maloney is a Boston-based multi-instrumentalist and self-produced singer-songwriter, whose modern stylings incorporate the sounds of his Pop Rock heroes from the 60's to the 90's. There's a warmth in his voice and lyrics that compliment the layering in his original arrangements that set his work apart from the standard, modern pop song. He performs regularly with his Irish covers band 'The Boston Harbor Bhoys', around the Greater Boston area.

Earlier demos of his have been the center for his "Maybe This Christmas" Fundraiser for Boston Children's Hospital, through the EP of the same name, and his song "Back to Boston" was featured on the Alston Pudding Relief Mixtape, which raised money for the One Fund in 2013, supporting the victims of the Boston Marathon Bombing. "Any Road" is a fusion of his icons like John Denver and Elton John, infusing piano and acoustic guitar, inspired by all the different ways he would drive getting to the other side of Boston for his dates with Alison, his now fiance. He looks forward to releasing his 2nd official album following the release of his last group of original songs, 'January Hopeful' in 2021.

Metronome Magazine (on Maloney's last album, January Hopeful, 2021)

    • "Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Michael Maloney proves to be a one man tour-de-force on his ambitious new 15 song CD, January Hopeful. Penning uplifting numbers fueled by his masterful musicianship, Maloney will remind listeners of players like John Denver, Randy Newman and Elton John while maintaining an innate sense of originality all his own. Handling instrumentation ranging from lead vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass, ukulele, harmonica, melodica and percussion, Michael appears to be equally as proficient in his songcrafting as he does in his execution.
If you're expecting to find filler in these fifteen songs, think again. Each song is just as engaging and entertaining as the last. Maloney has truly created a work of art with January Hopeful. Outstanding! [B.M.O]"*
