Formed by bassist Andy Glen and drummer Leo Hancill in 2016, PAK40 is a loud, immersive and atmospheric experience sitting somewhere between Om and Primus, which will appeal to both traditionalists and those after something new and innovative.

PAK40's arsenal consists of precise drums, thundering bass, distortion and feedback. Whilst firmly embedded in stoner, drone, sludge and doom, the band takes the traditional template and expands upon it with a healthy dose of groove and experimentation.

PAK40's debut album, 'Bunker' was released in March 2021 to positive reviews, and was well-received in the scene, with the track 'Hollow Man' being featured on the Weedian compilation, 'Trip to England'.

Based out of York (UK), PAK40 are currently working on new material and looking to play as many live shows as possible in 2022. If you want PAK40 to bring total sonic ruin to your venue, festival, house party, squat, living room or 4th dimensional crawl space, send them a message using the form below, or an email to:

If you dig bands such as OM, The Melvins and Big Business then PAK40 have delivered an album just for you. (Outlaws of the Sun)

PAK40 may be stoner/doom/sludge but I guarantee you that they're anything, but your standard run of the mill offering. (Cave Dweller Music)

PAK40 have a powerful arsenal of bass and drums, and they’ve showed they can put together the material in a satisfying way. (The Sleeping Shaman)

With a production that embraces and emphasises the scuzzy filth of stoner and doom metal without ever sacrificing on sonic clarity, ‘Bunker’ is an astonishing release that promises great things will come from PAK40 in the future. I need to see them live at some point as well. (The Pensive Quill)
