SELF DISGRACE is a Thrash/Death Metal band from Italy founded by 80’s guitarist Isabella Fronzoni, Isa Brutal as a stage moniker. Isa Brutal started her musical career in 1989 at the tender age of 19, when she was recruited by Swedish all female thrash metal legend Ice Age. She also played in well known British bands like Original Sin and Rock Goddess.

SELF DISGRACE first line up was formed by vocalist Sangre De Lyn, bassist Dany Krueger, drummer Cereus Natas, and guitarist Isa Brutal Fronzoni. They recorded their first E.P., 'R.R. Rotten Revenge', in May 2009, mixed and mastered by ex Celtic Frost guitarist Curt Victor Bryant. They had an intense live activity that lasted more than 3 years and then split up in 2010.

After a 7 year break, SELF DISGRACE came back with a new line up, original member Isa Brutal (all guitars), Dielle Green (vocals), Overteo Businaro (bass), Remo Monforte (drums).

In April 2018 they released the debut album ‘Partner in Crime’.
The recordings took place under the expert guide of Carlo Meroni in his A.D.S.R. studios in Milan, Italy. The Cover Artwork was created by Indonesian Illustrator Agus Zoer. Followed several live shows including the Blood In Gerenzano festival and as the opening act for Nervosa at the Legend Club in Milan.

In March 2020 SELF DISGRACE released the second album 'Fetus in Fetu' via Malevolence Records, recorded, mixed and mastered at the Mixaglia Studios by Andrea Leonardi, (aka Bratt Sinclaire). Andrea has worked with well known artists since the 80’s such as Bulldozer, Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson), Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big), Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth/Angra), to name a few. The CD cover art was done again by Agus Zoer.

Fetus In Fetu is a more aggressive and mature album than Parter in Crime, still with an old school thrash/death metal SELF DISGRACE signature sound. In Fetus In Fetu we went back to the theme of violence already covered in the debut album, focusing on the consequences and starting from the assumption that violence generates more violence, evil breeds more evil, in any physical and psychological aspect.

Unfortunately shortly after, the coronavirus pandemic caused in the band the loss of Dielle and we took some time to find the right replacement.

In January 2024 SELF DISGRACE temporarly recruited Deb Eresserie and in 2025 Ivan Randagio stepped in permanently.

Ivan is a truly charismatic frontman, his voice is gruff, powerful, aggressive with a heavy reliance on growls, screams and distortion.

Self Disgrace are currently working on new material and will soon release a new brand single and video.

...Self Disgrace offers a rather old school thrash death (more thrash than death anyway) and can be listened to with pleasure... One of the very tripping in Fetus in Fetu is the song "Deliverance" where the lyrical voice gives a big plus, to the title and to the album in short. A bit the same effect as when you listen to the beautiful "die irae" of the Americans of Believer – it makes the hair stand up.

...I confess that in recent years I have somewhat softened my musical tastes, but the good old thrash always remains among my favorite genres. When I approached this new Self Disgrace album, however, I didn't expect an explosion of violence of these proportions.

...Self Disgrace couldn't have more originality, joy of play, energy and enthusiastic approach. It secretly makes me a little happy when a band unknown to me still arrives with that obscure-sounding old school metal. Fetus In Fetu pleased me. ....you will not stop at a single listen if you love thrash and death made like God (ODIN or Ronnie James .... As you wish) commands!!!...it does not bore, it runs away with that touch of darkness that makes it fascinating and then it certainly brought a great contribution to national thrash metal.
