About

Sohn Jamal, born John Small, is a Miami-based Tokyo-raised beatmaker/producer/multi instrumentalist who creates angular yet melodic beats. Known for his unique blend of hip hop, jazz and IDM, he's quietly been taking Miami by storm with Vinyl and Cassette releases, being a record label owner, and in creative merchendising with a Sohn Jamal beer in the works. His goal is to be an ambassador of all things experimental.
