Spoonfed

Spoonfed is a Washington, D.C.-based rock band consisting of Will Sevy (vocals/guitar), Kevin Cox (bass), and Kieran O'Dell (vocals/drums).

Formed in 2021 in the basement of their fraternity house at the University of Virginia, Spoonfed has grown from late-night jam sessions into one of the DMV's emerging indie rock bands. Since relocating to Washington, D.C., they've built a reputation for energetic live shows and have performed at venues including Mercury Lounge, Songbyrd Music House, Pearl Street Warehouse, Jammin Java, Pie Shop, DC9, The Pocket, The Southern, and Audi Field.

Drawing inspiration from artists like The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Backseat Lovers, Peach Pit, Winyah, and John Mayer, Spoonfed blends guitar-driven rock with melodic songwriting and dynamic live performances while continuing to develop a sound that's uniquely their own.

Their debut EP, Cheap Admission, is coming out on September 16. Two of the songs, Diamonds and Lovesick, are already out now.

Spoonfed's Running Home feels like a heartfelt anthem from a band stepping confidently into the light. As their first official release, it's surprisingly polished—melodic, raw, and brimming with emotional urgency. You can feel the basement-born beginnings in its honest, unfiltered energy, but there’s also maturity in how it builds, especially near the end (definitely worth sticking around for). It’s the kind of debut that leaves you curious and hopeful about what’s coming next. Spoonfed may be new on the scene, but they’re already running with purpose—and heart."
