ALCATUNE

Bio
ALCATUNE is a Lisbon-based instrumental band born from the vision of Portuguese composer David Lopes. Emerging from a home studio eight years ago, the project has evolved into a powerful trio alongside Kaan Tuna (bass, guitar & synthesizers) and Diogo Castilho (drums), where post-rock, shoegaze, and synth-laden atmospheres collide.
Through waves of noise, soaring cinematic melodies, and expansive textures, ALCATUNE crafts immersive soundscapes that exist between fragility and eruption, transforming emotion into sound and silence into momentum.
With four studio albums, two EPs, and a series of singles released to date, the band has steadily expanded its sonic identity. Their music has appeared on Ripcord Records' Refuge One Compilation (Glasgow) and A Cheery Wave Records' From Stranded Youngsters Vol. XIII (UK), and they have collaborated with artists from several countries, reinforcing their international outlook.
Tracks such as "Tabula Rasa" and "Coleraine" from The Dust, Over The Years, along with the more recent single "Floatland", highlight ALCATUNE's continuing exploration of the space where post-rock, shoegaze, and electronic textures converge. Balancing crushing walls of sound with moments of restraint, the band creates music that is both cinematic and deeply atmospheric.
