About Amber

"I live on Tweed Avenue and can hear very loud music from the Drill Hall today ... this isn't acceptable" - No.1 fan

The band met in Peebles High School and soon began receiving noise complaints from local residents for their roaring practices at the Peebles Drill Hall. None the less, they continued to write songs to play around their small town in gigs they often had to put on themselves. A small music scene has been born in their farming town now thanks to support from friends and other locals looking for a sense of belonging. Since they were 14, the band has been passionate about bringing people together through a revival of guitar music.

Now three years on after playing gigs across the Scottish Borders they have had the chance to record and release their debut single 'Silence Can Sing' which we are eternally proud of thanks to it's ripping riffs, catchy lyrics and unconventional breakdowns.

The dynamic contrast of Pixies is often drawn apon aswell as the powerful riffs of Amyl and the Sniffers. Lara Davidson's vocals are heavily influenced by her years of classical training which combined with Hives like instrumentation gives a unique sound.

Earlier this year we applied for 'Future Makers' competition on the off chance we get through to play at the Royal Albert Hall; now after an online application and in person audition we are one of 8 out of 350 people that applied going to play at the Royal Albert Hall on the 5th of November.
