Aric B. Flemming Jr., professionally known as Aric B., is an R&B singer-songwriter, vocal arranger, producer, and dynamic live performer from Decatur, Georgia. Blending R&B with influences of Soul, Jazz, Gospel, Funk, Hip Hop, and Pop, Aric has developed a signature sound rooted in rich storytelling, vocal precision, and emotionally compelling performances. Beyond music, he is a Harvard graduate, an acclaimed public speaker, and holds a doctoral degree from New York Seminary.

The grandson of a pastor, Aric has been singing since the age of five. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with Grammy Award-winning songwriters and producers whose credits include Beyoncé, H.E.R., Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Brandy, Ledisi, Janelle Monáe, Eric Bellinger, Jay-Z, and Teyana Taylor. His latest work includes collaborations with five-time Grammy-winning songwriter Kuk Harrell and Grammy-nominated producer BWill.

While attending Morehouse College, Aric became an active voice in Atlanta's Gospel and R&B communities, providing background vocals in the studio and on stage for artists including Geoffrey Golden, Kirk Franklin, Canton Jones, and Jessica Reedy. He later attended Harvard University, where he recorded demo background vocals for classmates Gabe Foxx-Peck and Joshuah Campbell, songwriters for the Academy Award-nominated song "Stand Up" from the film Harriet.

Now based in Boston, Aric has become one of New England's most sought-after R&B performers. He regularly appears at venues including Uptown Social, Grace by Nia, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Harvard University, Boston Symphony Hall, Tufts University, and Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar. He has also performed the National Anthem for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Boston Celtics, the Connecticut Sun, and the Boston Half Marathon. He was a featured artist on the “Step To the Mike Show” with Michael Minelli in 2025. His performance of “Memories We'll Never Make” went viral, gaining over 8 Million Views across social platforms.

In addition to fronting his own projects, Aric tours with internationally acclaimed, Billboard chart-topping saxophonist Elan Trotman, bringing his music to audiences across the country. In 2026 alone, his performances have taken him to Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, Orlando, and Palm Beach, with additional appearances throughout New England.

Aric has also shared the stage with acclaimed artists including Jon B. and CeCe Peniston, and recently opened for acclaimed vocalist Joi Carter at the legendary Blues Alley, one of the nation's premier jazz clubs.

Most recently, Aric was recognized in the NPR/WBUR Local Tiny Desk Contest, earning one of only four statewide superlatives with "Best Falsetto in Massachusetts" for his live performance of his original song "ALWAYS U." The recognition further solidified his reputation as one of New England's standout vocalists and emerging independent R&B artists.

With more than 1.1 million lifetime streams, national touring credits, acclaimed collaborations, and recognition as NPR/WBUR's "Best Falsetto in Massachusetts," Aric B. continues to establish himself as one of the Northeast's most compelling independent R&B artists. Following the success of his debut album, THINGS NEVER SAID, he is preparing to release his highly anticipated sophomore album, OFF MY CHEST, his most personal and ambitious project to date.

The album chronicles the full lifecycle of modern love—from attraction and desire to commitment, uncertainty, heartbreak, truth and acceptance. Through ten original songs and a special remix, Aric invites listeners into a cinematic journey inspired by real-life experiences, imagined scenarios, and emotional truths that often go unspoken.

Blending nostalgic early-2000s R&B influences with contemporary production, OFF MY CHEST features lush vocals, infectious melodies, live instrumentation, and storytelling that captures the complexities of romance in the digital age.
