## Emerging in 2023 from Rome, Italy, Atom Lux blends psych-rock, alternative, garage and post-rock into a genre-defying sound.
Atom Lux is the creative project of Lucio Filizola, a Rome-based multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter. Fusing alternative rock, psychedelic textures, garage grit, soft-stoner grooves, and prog-pop, Atom Lux delivers an energetic yet atmospheric soundscape infused with "in-your-face" grooves, brazen guitars, acid synths, and psycho-surreal themes.

Voidgaze Dopamine Salad (oct, 2025), Atom Lux's debut album, is a bold entry into the world of psych-infused rock, drawing inspiration from multiple sonic universes and fusing them into a kaleidoscopic whole held by a raw, unapologetic rock energy.
Across its ten tracks, Atom Lux channels surreal, hallucinatory, and often grotesque imagery into a soundscape of jagged synths, fuzz-soaked guitars, saturated vocals, and a pulsating rhythm section.
The result is an electrifying mosaic of sound - at once unpredictable, playful, and deeply immersive. The album paints with vivid, almost cinematic brushstrokes - hallucinating monkeys, rivers of lava, fractal universes, fatal cosmic singularities, intoxicating rabbits, double-crossing snakes, and frenetic dancers all populate its hyper-saturated landscapes.
With Voidgaze Dopamine Salad, Atom Lux introduces himself as a singular new voice in the psych/alt-rock spectrum: eccentric yet finely crafted, experimental yet grounded in rock tradition. This is not just a debut album - it’s an invitation to step into a dazzling, psychedelic multiverse where chaos and melody collide.
Eight months after its debut, in June 2026 Atom Lux released Kamikaze Butterfly, a five-track EP issued by Argonauta Records/Octopus Rising. With this release, Lucio further moved away from the classic rock influences that were still partially present on Voidgaze Dopamine Salad, embracing a fresher, rawer and more contemporary sound.
Atom Lux is currently working on its second full-length album, which is scheduled for release in Spring/Summer 2027.
