Benny FlowZ Biography:

Up-and-coming Iowa Rapper/artist Benny Flowz was born Brennan Johnson on July 9, 1996 in MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa.
A town often referred to as “Little Mexico” and “Iowa’s Meth Capitol.”

Being brought up in Marshalltown during the drug epidemic of the 2000’s felt like walking through chaos, yellow tape, and cultural divides with no safety net and no second chances.
He watched the streets tear families apart.
Drugs turn neighbors into strangers.
And learned fast just how unforgiving life can be when his “father” left at the young age of 5.

As a teen, the chaos found its way into his daily life.
Detentions, In-and-out of school suspensions, fighting, stealing, running away, drugs, cigarettes, drinking, juvenile hall. you name it.
At just 13, he would catch his first criminal charge after shooting out an off duty Sheriff’s car window.

That turbulence didn’t stop there.
It carried into adulthood and escalated into heavier drugs and crime. Methamphetamine and Cocaine being his Drug of Choice.

Inevitably, the life he was living would catch up to him.
The fast life, high-speed chases, raids, petty crime sprees.
all of it added up, eventually earning him 7 felony convictions and multiple years spent locked behind bars.
Every choice, every consequence, and every struggle became a piece of the story he now channels into his music.

Everything changed when he lost his brother-Mario-to the streets and gun violence.
That moment didn’t just hurt — it split something wide open.
It made the silence unbearable.
It made every memory heavier.
And it pushed him toward something he never expected: MUSIC! 🎵

Music didn’t come early for Benny.
With his first song being released in 2025, it found him right when he needed it the most.
When it came, it instantly became his purpose.
It was The outlet he’d been searching for.
a way to speak the truth he’d been carrying for so many years.

Every verse he writes comes from real experiences.
Every line carries real weight.
Every track is a piece of His story that he truly lived through.
