ABOUT CHARLIE LANE

Charlie Lane is a Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter who blends blues, folk, alt-rock, and indie into a sound that is truly captivating. Described as bluesy and emotionally raw, her debut album, I'm Okay Now But I Wasn't, is an autobiographical reflection on life with Cerebral Palsy. The album has received praise from Triple J, Beat Magazine, and The Rockpit. With over 350,000 streams and comparisons to Amy Winehouse, Joni Mitchell, and Sharon Van Etten, Lane pairs nostalgic moods with sharp lyricism, crafting a sound entirely her own.

LIVE REEL

“Lane’s delivery is distinctive with its clarity and raw emotion, expressing a delicious romantic yearning
tempered with a grounded reality. The effect is that of a female-fronted The National or James with that
sense of heightened melancholia and pop melody, with a brush of Lily Allen or Sharon Van Etten” -

Arun - Backstage Mafia

“ Melbourne singer-songwriter Charlie Lane released Gold Drips, an edgy indie pop track with tinges of rock steeped in Lane’s self-
aware lyrics.”

Luke - Beat Magazine
