At the heart of this band is a Husband and wife team, Donny and Sandi Cooksey.

The Cooksey Band writes and performs country, bluegrass, blues and southern rock songs rooted in honest storytelling, a feel for place, and the kind of detail that makes a song stick.

The music respects the tradition, real instruments, real sentiment, proper songs, but doesn't live in the past. The Cooksey Band knows what country has always done best and does it without apology, while bringing enough of themselves to keep it feeling natural.
