DOC FOWLER
DOC FOWLER are a Brisbane-based alternative rock band, blending the raw energy of West Coast grunge with the timeless sound of classic rock. Made up of Angus Hunt, Issie Dube, Darcy Blow, and Steven Able, the band’s music is a testament to their diverse influences, drawing from the grunge pioneers of the '90s, the experimental edge of The Beatles, and the expansive sonic landscapes of Led Zeppelin.
With a sound that channels the immense power of Smashing Pumpkins and the carefree swagger of Sticky Fingers, DOC FOWLER carve out a unique space in the Australian rock scene. Their music is both introspective and explosive, offering listeners everything from gritty riffs to lush, layered soundscapes. Whether in the studio or on stage, their electric chemistry and bold creativity shine through in every note. During our time performing around Brisbane in the early days of late 2023 to now we where able to sell out two headlining shows at the Junk Bar and the BrightSide in 2025 we have also sold out smaller venues such as Rics, TomCats, Greaser and others as well.
