I am Duncan Cassidy who is an Indie Singer/Songwriter from Jersey, UK who releases music under all platforms under my artist name DuncanC.

I initially got into music by learning the piano when I was younger and then after moving to Glasgow when I was eleven where my dad is from. I began to write songs at around 14 after some starter guitar lessons at school before continuing to learn and improve my guitar playing myself. Then after my family moved back to Jersey where I am originally from once I completed my secondary school education, I started playing in bands at 18 and done various gigs around the Island before we split up.

The music I make can be about anything from feelings, relationships to day-to-day stuff which hopefully people out there can relate too or take something from.

I would consider my main influences to be Bob Dylan, Donovan, Neil Young, Nirvana and Oasis. Normally my process of writing songs could be anything from either singing gibberish over a certain chord progression, to having a particular line with a melody where I would then work my chords around that. I would say my lyrics can be heartfelt as I am an emotional person, so it would be nice if my lyrics / Music could trigger thoughts and emotions in others even just a little bit.
