Based in Kent, Ohio, Exotic Behavior combines alternative rock with classic prog to create their own unique sound, pulling inspiration from bands like Pink Floyd, Rush, and Black Sabbath whilst also mixing in some aspects of heavier bands like Tool.

While all the band members possess a deep love for music, they are also big fans of literary fantasy and do their best to incorporate elements of it in their music with songs like 'Orb' and 'King in Yellow' being direct responses to their shared love of imaginative storytelling.

Most of the band met in high school, with drummer Blake Toburen and lead guitarist Jacob Meyerson having met in jazz band, and later meeting lead singer and rhythm guitarist Josh Tritten through the school's marching band. Later in 2025, the band added keyboardist Tyler Brown to their roster. The longest relationship in the band, however, is between bassist Josh Dean and Jacob Meyerson, with them having met in fifth grade and immediately bonding over a shared love for music.

Exotic Behavior makes their presence known with their hard-hitting sound and bombastic presence making every performance feel authentic and real whilst providing the sense of escapism that live music so often provides.
