Fuck It, I Play the Music I Feel Like Playing

FOVOS ALIF is an uncompromising post-punk duo from Cologne, fusing noise, reverb and attitude into a relentless sonic force. Guitar, drums, voice – that’s all it takes to channel a sound driven by rage, romance and resistance. Their songs are no polished artifacts, but fragile, wild constructions – as fleeting as the best of today’s UK post-punk drafts, as raw as 4-track demos, and as emotionally charged as a Steve Albini first take.

There’s power in reduction: like White Stripes, Royal Blood, or early Suicide, the minimalist setup acts as an amplifier for maximum impact. Somewhere between noise, spoken word, and melancholy, their sound evokes Black Midi, Parquet Courts, or Black Country, New Road – yet always speaks in their own urgent voice.

After numerous release and support shows – including venues like Sonic Ballroom Cologne and Studio 674 – FOVOS ALIF will perform at the Haldern Pop Festival 2025. Their debut EP was released on vinyl in 2022, recorded at the legendary Haldern Studio. New tracks and an accompanying music video are set to be released in August 2025 – raw, visually consistent, and grounded in the present.
