Emerging in 1999 from PHILADELPHIA, United States, John Madeley blends pop, indie rock, alternative rock, post rock and singer songwriter into a genre-defying sound.
SINCE THE LATE 1990’S, JOHN HAS BEEN A FIXTURE IN THE PHILLY AND NYC MUSIC SCENES. AS THE SINGER/GUITARIST OF THE AWARD WINNING BAND AFTER THE FALL TO COLLABORATING WITH, SUPPORTING, AND PERFORMING WITH HUNDREDS OF LOCALLY AND NATIONALLY ACCLAIMED ARTISTS SUCH AS THE GIN BLOSSOMS, RA RA RIOT, AND PAT DINIZIO OF THE SMITHEREENS, JOHN HAS ENTERTAINED FANS ACROSS THE COUNTRY FROM THE SMALLEST RECORD SHOPS TO MAJOR VENUES AND SOME OF THE NATION’S LARGEST FESTIVALS.
JOHN HAS PERFORMED AT SOME OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS AND HISTORIC MUSIC VENUES IN NYC AND PHILADELPHIA INCLUDING ARLENE’S gROCERY, KENNY’S CASTAWAYS, THE BITTER END, THE TROCADERO THEATRE, THE TLA, JC DOBBS, THE NORTHSTAR BAR, AND HUNDREDS OF OTHERS.
JOHN HAS DEDICATED HIS LIFE TO SUPPORTING LOCAL MUSIC AND ART AND HELPING FURTHER THE PROFESSIONAL CAREERS OF MULTIPLE GENERATIONS OF MUSICAL ARTISTS.
JOHN IS CURRENTLY THE SINGER AND RHYTHM GUITARIST OF PHILLY-BASED BAND THE BLACK MARKET OPERA AS WELL AS PERFORMING SOLO SHOWS SHOWCASING HIS ORIGINAL WORKS WHILE ALSO ENTERTAINING THE WORLD WITH HIS ACOUSTIC COVER SHOWS FEATURING SOME OF THE GREATEST HITS OF THE 80’S, 90’S AND BEYOND.
