JUADINES/ Rock and Soul Trio

(Read on for a satirical yet philanthropic history)

Telling people that you are “Born and Raised” in any town, especially one with vibrant history, is by no means… extraordinary. You either adhere to the natural law and ingest from what is provided, or rebel and risk the chance of ostracizing yourself. Eventually moving away in a sulking abandonment and giving yourself a name tag of “former”. Not when you’re from Vegas. It’s an invisible badge of honor. A cree based on weathering influenced tourists’, media expectations and honoring the blue-collar beliefs that this town gives unprecedented opportunities. It often surprises people. A gasp, a look and a side eye of contemplation while holding their hand to their chest like you’re a unicorn that you’re from here. Or a more fitting visual to a unicorn, an obese scooter driving Elvis Presley impersonator traveling down Maryland Pkwy in a 112-degree summer heat.

My name is Jason Juadines. A born and raised Las Vegas musician. Implorer of original, authentic music (20+ yrs.) and advocate for the well-being of all animals. I have either played, worked in, or built in every corner of this Valley. From honing my audio engineering skills at the now defunct “THE JOINT” in the Hard Rock Hotel. Busking as a solo acoustic performer at the historical “Water Street District”. To entertaining groups at Sunrise Mountain or local Farmers Markets, these Vivobarefoots know this soil all too well. I have been a student of this town long enough to know its inherent nature and that it’s my time to shine.

The moniker JUADINES holds my opportunity and ambiguity. The health and well-being of this town is my focus and journey. My music and lifestyle are my vehicle. When I craft a song and release it, I visualize it as "great food". Not for everybody but tasty to most. Satiating but different and always healthy. "Jew-wah-dee-nez", "Jooahhdines", "Joudinos", "Wardeenes" whatever floats your boat on how to say it.

I pay homage to the radio I heard in my youth and carry the torch of genres I grappled along the way. 00's Torch bearers Rival Sons and Big Wreck. 90’s giants Soundgarden, STP, Foo Fighters and Alice In Chains. 80’s nostalgia Phil Collins, Lionel Richie and Tears for Fears. 60's and 70's Pioneers The Beatles, Joe Cocker. And the 40's/50's originators Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie, Louie Armstrong. Passengers in my admirable journey always know the gambit. Metal, Funk , Soul and Folk will forever intertwine.

And now with the immensely talented rhythm section of Patrick Gray(Drums) and Dean Wildman(Bass), these esoteric ideas I have now can be turned into cathartic legacies. Or just really great songs that you can jam going down Maryland Parkway.

It’s often more entertaining to tell people I was born on a Craps table (really Sunrise Hospital). But my use of satire is often fueled by individuals’ observation of my town. “Sin City” for me doesn’t correlate to acting negligent or being a transgressor. It relates to the town fighting back when messed with. I have witnessed this time and time again. The depth and strength of the blue-collar human seeps and bleeds into my music as well as my performances as an entertainer. I guess that makes me extraordinary. I’m like an orange cone, I’m everywhere…minus the annoyance and hassle of traffic determent, IYKYK wink wink. Vegas we’re ready for you, are you ready for us?
