About Love The Hate
Emerging in 2015 from Mobile, AL, United States, Love The Hate blends rock, metal, nu-metal, and faith based music into a genre-defying sound.
Love The Hate is an Active Rock band from the Gulf Coast region delivering emotionally charged, high-impact anthems rooted in authenticity and purpose. Since forming in 2015, the band has built a reputation for powerful songwriting, dynamic live performances, and music that resonates with audiences across both mainstream and faith-based rock scenes.
The band consists of Jrod McClain (vocals), Frank Killian (lead guitar / backing vocals), Shaddow Wright (rhythm guitar / backing vocals), Jesse Howell (bass), and Sterling Siegfried (drums). Influenced by artists such as Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, Skillet, Red, and Disciple, Love The Hate combines modern rock intensity with melodic depth and lyrical substance, creating a sound that is both familiar and distinctly their own.
Their catalog includes the full-length album Burn (2016) and the Studio Sessions EP (2023), releases that helped propel the band into national recognition. The single “Solid Ground” reached #16 on the Billboard charts, while Love The Hate also held the #1 position on the Small Market Radio Chart for six consecutive weeks.
The band’s impact has been further recognized through three Nappie Awards, a Josie Award, and a Best Rock Band nomination from WXXV Fox 25. Whether on festival stages, club circuits, or radio airwaves, Love The Hate continues to connect with listeners through music centered on resilience, hope, and conviction. While their faith informs their worldview, their message remains accessible, relatable, and welcoming—bridging the gap between Christian and secular rock audiences.
