MA Records PH is an independent music and cinematic storytelling project created by songwriter Mark Alcantara.

The project explores the intersection of music, emotion, memory, desire, and cinematic storytelling, with each release designed to feel like a different world rather than simply a collection of songs.

At the heart of MA Records PH is a developing cinematic trilogy exploring three different perspectives of life:

💙 THE BLUE PILL — Letters I'll Never Send
The world of imagination, nostalgia, and memories we wish we could relive. A cinematic journey into first love, missed opportunities, youthful innocence, and the people and moments that never completely left us.

❤️ THE RED PILL — Red Pill
The real world. The fantasy ends and life becomes more intense, complicated, and brutal. This chapter explores heartbreak, anger, betrayal, desire, loss, and the emotions we cannot escape.

🔥 LICENSE TO FLIRT
A cinematic exploration of desire later in life. Inspired by a book and shaped by observations of the real experiences of people in their senior years, the project explores attraction, sexuality, youth, aging, and the human desire to still feel alive.

Mark Alcantara creates music that feels like a film unfolding in sound. Drawing from alternative rock, cinematic scores, emotional storytelling, and the visual language of cinema, his work explores memory, reality, desire, heartbreak, nostalgia, and the passage of time.

Each project is built as its own cinematic world. Letters I'll Never Send represents the Blue Pill—a dreamlike return to memories, imagination, and the moments we wish we could relive. Red Pill enters the real world, confronting the intensity, brutality, and emotional weight of life without the comfort of nostalgia. License to Flirt explores another dimension of human experience: the enduring desire for attraction, intimacy, sexuality, and the feeling of youth even later in life.

Through MA Records PH, Mark's long-term vision is to blur the boundaries between music and cinema, creating projects that don't simply sound like albums but feel like stories unfolding on screen. Each release is conceived with the possibility of eventually becoming part of a larger cinematic experience, including independent film and visual storytelling.
