About PaperPlateBaby
My music blends new wave melodies with old school soul. Raised by a southern style grandma who lived for Doo Wop and a dad who led his own band, music has always been in my blood. My brother shaped my taste from Mötley Crüe and Ozzy to Lil Wayne, Twista, Drake, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Singing and rapping came naturally, from church and choir to school band, and I became known around the neighborhood for my voice and relentless drive.
Life brought struggle: growing up in poverty, losing my brother, and watching friends and love get lost to the streets. Music became my outlet a way to process pain, find purpose, and break the generational curse.
My new single “through pain” speaks on the grind losing loved ones, putting in time, and pushing forward to make music happen against the odds. I’m releasing music nonstop, on my own terms, every week.
Life has always been music, and it always will be.
Mr. Do It All. Not here to fit in. Next stop: the top.
