Formed in late 2024 in Kent, United Kingdom, RiEN blends classic metalcore with modern metal to create their own brand of anthemic melodic metal.

RiEN was formed from the remnants of two of the region’s respected underground acts—Callous (Casket Records) and Bury The Hatchet. Combining the weight and experience of their previous projects, RiEN are carving out a distinct identity, rooted in melodic metalcore with all clean vocals, unafraid to pull from a wide range of metal subgenres. Comparisons have been drawn to Architects and Alterbridge.

With a sound that is both complex and anthemic, RiEN made their mark with their debut single ‘Hell Is Where My Heart Is’ in November 2024 and follow up singles ‘Still We Dream’ and ‘Abandon All Hope’ both gaining BBC Radio support.

Throughout 2025 RiEN took their energy to the stage, performing across South East UK, showcasing their mature and polished sound.

Debut EP ‘Abandoned By The Sun’ is due for release in 2026.
