Second Wind
Second Wind is a Boston-based band blending bluegrass, jam band, and funk. Drawing inspiration from bands like Leftover Salmon, the Grateful Dead, and Widespread Panic—while channeling the grooves of Stevie Wonder and Traditional Bluegrass—the group mixes originals and covers with a fresh, genre-bending approach. After our year studying at Berklee College of Music, we've been playing more shows around Boston and are currently booking our first tour in California.

Social Media
Second Wind has managed to gain a presence on social media through their "dorm jam" videos. These videos are examples of how the music we play really grabs an audience. Although many of the videos were created before the band launched an official Instagram account, they significantly expanded the reach of our individual profiles, helping us connect with fans and draw more people to our shows.

Meet the Band
Noah Gibney- Keys, Vocals
Widely recognized as the most charismatic keys player ever to walk the halls of Berklee, Noah Gibney has played with legends such as Marcus Miller, Oteil Burbridge, and Eric Krasno, and has written with G. Love like it's just another day. Even Joe Biden is a fan, telling him after sharing some chocolate chip ice cream something like, "Remember me when you hit the charts with Second Wind!"
Judah Rosenheim- Guitar, Vocals
Judah is a seasoned bluegrass guitarist who has shared the stage with many remarkable players, ranging from the astounded clogger Mark Shatz, all the way to Berklee's greatest new jam band, Second Wind.
Penelope Jane- Mandolin, Vocals
Penelope is a bluegrass mandolinist, vocalist, and songwriter studying at Berklee under a full tuition scholarship. Having just released her debut album "Evergreen," Nelps is sure to wow the audience with her speedy mandolin playing and her remarkable crowd work.
Lucy Khadder- Fiddle
A Bay Area legend, Lucy Khadder fiddled her way into a full tuition scholarship at Berklee. While Lucy might have more experience with jazz and bluegrass, playing with her band Sweet Sally at recognized venues such as the Great American Music Hall and High Sierra Music Festival, once she heard Philly Love for the first time, Lucy knew it was time to plug her fiddle into a pedalboard and ride the Second Wind.
Calvin Colby- Pedal Steel
Despite only playing it for less than a year, most would consider Calvin their first-call steel player. Be assured that if you hear the sweet sound of pedal steel on a track made in the Greater Boston area, you can probably thank Calvin Colby.
Alex LaPadula- Bass
Alex is a force of nature and is often referred to as the "Bass God Child." Groove is the backbone of our sound, and our jams carry a drive as if they were a train. Thank goodness we have a conductor, because when Alex blows the whistle, that's when we catch a Second Wind.
