About Shane Keys

Emerging in 2015 from MIami, FL, United States, Shane Keys blends rock, pop, drum bass, funk, blues, fusion, reggae, afrobeat, folk, singer songwriter, experimental and comedy into a genre-defying sound.

Shane Cotter is a dynamic and seasoned musician, best known for his standout tracks “Revelation” and “Amaretto Sour,” both of which gained wide recognition after being featured in the 2006 film Push and the hit Xbox game Audiosurf. These tracks were performed with his band One Drop, which he co-founded and toured with for six years. During that time, One Drop shared the stage with music legends including James Brown, Run DMC, The Roots, Medeski Martin & Wood, STS9, Afroman, The Wailers, and Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, among many others. After recording three albums with One Drop, Shane embarked on a solo journey, releasing his debut solo album Break It Down. His musical evolution continued when he joined the P-Funk family band Munkeez Strikin’ Matchiz, where he had the honor of backing up legends like Bo Diddley, George Clinton, and Bernie Worrell. Relocating to Los Angeles, Shane recorded his second solo album Be Yourself, and expanded his collaborative work by touring with Ike Willis of The Frank Zappa Band. He also performed alongside icons such as Joe Chambers of The Chambers Brothers, Micky Free (Shalamar/Prince), and Louis Metoyer (Lenny Kravitz, 4 Non Blondes, Terence Trent D’Arby). Shane continues to push boundaries and create music that resonates deeply with audiences.
