STÅL (pronounced "Stoll") is a sludge metal band based in Sheffield, UK, primarily inspired by American bands such as Down, Crowbar, Acid Bath and Eyehategod.

Formed in 2025 featuring ex-members of Manic Aggression and Yesterday's Gone, STÅL has rapidly developed a small but devoted following in the Sheffield scene, supporting well-known UK bands such as Froglord, Swamp Coffin and Pantheist.

As well as this, the band reached the semifinals of the Metal 2 The Masses competition on just their third gig, and drew a sizeable crowd at the 2026 Tramlines Fringe.

With a debut EP due in Winter 2026 and a busy gig calendar, STÅL intends to keep up its momentum into 2027 and continue building a following across the UK.
