ECHOES OF US - NEW ALBUM OUT AUGUST 24, 2026

A Vibrant, Personal Collection Exploring Love, Heartbreak, Memory, and Starting Over

Los Angeles, CA – Singer, songwriter, producer, and former Toto keyboardist Steve Maggiora is set to release his new solo album, Echoes of Us, on August 24, 2026 – an 11-song collection that moves through love, heartbreak, nostalgia, self-discovery, and the emotional space between holding on and finally moving forward.

Written, produced, and mixed by Maggiora, Echoes of Us pairs deeply personal songwriting with big choruses, soulful vocals, retro-inspired production, live instrumentation, and infectious pop-rock energy. The album captures a chapter of Maggiora’s life shaped by major change – looking backward at the relationships and experiences that leave an imprint while also embracing everything waiting on the other side.

Rather than making a traditional breakup record, Maggiora approaches Echoes of Us from a wider perspective. These are songs about the things that continue to reverberate long after a moment has passed – the memories, people, places, conversations, and earlier versions of ourselves that remain with us even as life moves forward.

The Sound of Looking Back While Moving Forward

At its core, Echoes of Us is about what remains.

The title track, “Echoes of Us,” establishes the album’s emotional and sonic identity with an energetic, retro-leaning arrangement and an immediate singalong chorus. The recording features Curtis Kelley on drums, John Philbrick on guitar, and Maggiora handling vocals and all remaining instrumentation.

That combination of emotional reflection and forward momentum continues throughout the album.

“Half-Light” explores the gray area between certainty and uncertainty – those moments when the answers aren’t completely clear, but you know something has changed.

“Our Time” captures a different side of the record, leaning into the exhilaration and urgency of a relationship while delivering one of the album’s biggest, most immediate hooks.

On songs including “Gravity,” “Parallel Lines,” “Steady,” “We Could Have It All,” and “On Purpose,” Maggiora examines connection from different angles – attraction, distance, longing, acceptance, and eventually the realization that sometimes moving forward means understanding the past without continuing to live inside it.

Eleven Songs, One Chapter of Life

The album’s eleven tracks trace an emotional arc without forcing every song into a single narrative.

Highlights include:

  • “Echoes of Us” – the album’s title track and lead single, pairing nostalgic, retro-inspired production with a massive singalong chorus and the central idea behind the entire record.

  • “Our Time” – an energetic pop-rock track built around urgency, connection, and making the most of the time two people have together.

  • “Half-Light” – an introspective song about living in the emotional gray area between what was, what is, and what comes next.

  • “Gravity” – a soaring exploration of the invisible pull that can keep two people connected even when circumstances are pushing them apart.

  • “Kinda Like Magic” – one of the album’s lighter and more playful moments, capturing the feeling of a connection that seems almost impossible to explain.

  • “On Purpose” – the album’s closing statement, bringing the journey back toward intention, perspective, and choosing what comes next.

Produced From the Inside Out

Maggiora produced and mixed Echoes of Us himself, allowing the album’s production to evolve alongside its songwriting.

The record draws from modern pop, soul, rock, and retro production influences, balancing polished arrangements with the spontaneity and personality of live musicianship. Synths and keyboards sit alongside guitars, live drums, layered vocals, and large melodic arrangements, creating a record that feels contemporary while continually nodding toward the music that shaped Maggiora as an artist.

That combination reflects a career that has rarely stayed inside a single genre.

As a performer, songwriter, producer, keyboardist, and vocalist, Maggiora has spent years moving between rock, soul, pop, blues, and roots music – experiences that naturally find their way into the sonic identity of Echoes of Us.

From Sideman to Center Stage

Maggiora has built a career both behind the scenes and on stages around the world.

He toured internationally as a keyboardist and vocalist with Toto, including the band’s Dogz of Oz tour opening for Journey, and has performed or recorded alongside artists including Ringo Starr, Joe Bonamassa, GoldFord, Robert Jon & The Wreck, Marc Broussard, and Jon Button of The Who.

Alongside his touring work, Maggiora has maintained a prolific independent career as a songwriter, recording artist, producer, and educator – continually releasing original music while building an extensive catalog that now spans numerous albums and hundreds of songs.

Echoes of Us represents another step toward placing that songwriting and voice at the center.

The Beginning of a Longer Album Campaign

Rather than treating August 24 as the end of the album campaign, Maggiora plans to use the release as its beginning.

“Echoes of Us” will serve as the first promotional single alongside the album release, followed by additional singles over the coming months:

  • Echoes of Us – August 24, 2026

  • Half-Light – September 24, 2026

  • Our Time – October 24, 2026

  • Gravity – November 24, 2026

  • December – A new holiday song single release (non-album)

  • Kinda Like Magic – January 1, 2027
