Origin and Formation
Formed in July 2019 in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina, Brazil, Stone Wizards was born from the shared passion of three musicians for heavy and progressive music. With the initial goal of creating a dense, captivating, and distinctive sound, the band quickly established its unique sonic identity in the national metal scene, uniting the brutality of heavy metal with the complex and innovative elements of progressive rock.
Stone Wizards is formed by three talented musicians who work in perfect harmony:
Chacal - Guitar and Vocals
Responsible for the riffs and atmosphere that define the band's sound, Chacal brings to the forefront of Stone Wizards a characteristic voice that amplifies the intensity of the compositions. His guitar creations alternate between dense soundscapes and explosions of metal energy.
Paulo - Bass and Vocals
Bassist Paulo provides the timbral foundation that sustains the entire harmonic structure of the band. His precise and imaginative bass lines not only support the compositions but add layers of depth and complexity, while his vocal contributions enrich the harmonies.
Mauro -Drums
On drums, Mauro is the rhythmic maestro who drives Stone Wizards, alternating between mesmerizing grooves and intricate percussive passages. His dynamic approach combines the solidity of stoner metal with the technical complexity of progressive rock, being absolutely essential to the band's sonic identity.

For the next chapters, Stone Wizards plans to release their first full album in 2026 with 10 unreleased compositions to reach greater heights.

STONE WIZARDS DEEPENS PROGRESSIVE FLIGHTS WITH THEIR NEW SINGLE “OCEANS”
New single marks a change in sonic direction and presents the band in its most experimental form
The progressive stoner metal band STONE WIZARDS from Santa Catarina, marks a new chapter in its trajectory with the release of the single OCEANS. The track encapsulates the sonic evolution that has been developing since the release of the EP INTO THE WOODS and presents the lineup in its most ambitious and experimental stage to date.
A Deliberate Sonic Transformation
With the recent addition of new drummer Mauro Uhlig, OCEANS is not just another song from STONE WIZARDS — it's a statement of intent. The single dives headfirst into more complex and challenging structures, marking a deliberate departure from conventional genre formulas. The band members now embrace polyrhythms as a narrative tool, creating rhythmic dialogues that confront the listener with layers of complexity.
Dissonance appears not as deconstruction, but as a fundamental compositional element. Altered chords and sustained harmonic tensions build an atmosphere of unease that reflects the duality of the title — the vastness and at the same time the abyss of the oceans.

OCEANS is a [Radio Edit] version to serve as a sample. STONE WIZARDS hopes to release their physical album with 10 original, unreleased tracks in the second half of 2026, and is already contacting labels inside and outside of Brazil.
