The Just – Band Bio

The Just is a rock band from Schaumburg, Illinois, blending the raw edge of 90s grunge with indie rock, alternative rock, and progressive rock elements. Formed in 2018 and unleashed live in 2025, the band is known for emotionally charged original songs and dynamic live performances.

Founded by Bob Biedron (vocals & rhythm guitar), Matthew Duckworth (bass), and Joe Verble (drums), the band added lead guitarist Charlie Salto prior to their 2025 live debut to round out their sound. With strong ties to the south suburbs through drummer Joe Verble from Homer Glen, The Just brings authentic Chicago-area rock energy to the stage.

Recent Highlights:

• House of Music, Orland Park (January 24, 2026) – Headlined with Stopping the Sun and The Bagels. Delivered a high-energy show with solid turnout despite freezing weather. Extended the set due to crowd demand with an additional song and debuted five new songs that night, with “New Illusion” and “The First Domino” standing out as favorites. Recorded a live album currently available on SoundCloud. Featured in The Regional News.

• Chicago Loop Sports Bar & Grill, Streamwood (April 11, 2026) – Played a 1.5-hour all-original set and was asked to extend the performance due to strong crowd response. “Cut Through The Dark” and “The Catalyst” stood out as favorites.

• Underground Lounge, Wrigleyville (February 22, 2026) – Performed with Conversation Piece, The Suede Scene, and Cameron. The band stayed on stage to play two additional songs due to crowd demand.

• Streamwood Summer Celebration, Streamwood (July 27, 2025) – Kicked off their live career with an 18-song all-original set on the Main Stage at Hoosier Grove Park, sharing the bill with 7th Heaven, Mike & Joe Band, and Hillbilly Rockstarz. Earned praise for drawing a strong Sunday afternoon turnout despite sweltering heat.

• Arcada Theatre, St. Charles (September 23, 2025) – Performed on the Legends Stage at the historic venue.

The Just continues to write and perform original music that connects with audiences through honest songwriting and energetic live shows.
