About

The Threads are a four-piece punk band from Dublin, fusing raw punk energy with a no-nonsense rock sound.

Their debut single, Sunday Pints, released in June 2025, captures the essence of their sound - a gritty, tongue-in-cheek take on curing a Saturday night hangover the only way they know how: with a drink on Sunday.

The Threads are making themselves heard - loud, fast and unapologetically real.

Based in Dublin, Ireland · active since 2023.

The Threads are:

• Aidan Wessels - guitar and vocals

• Lukas van Vuuren - guitar

• Colm McNamara - bass

• Shane O'Dea - drums

"The Threads are in the top top tier of the Irish punk scene, fast, energetic, funny, self aware, satirical and tight. On top of that they're a pleasure to work with on stage or in studio having recorded with them and booked them for shows and festivals. Doesn't matter how good you are if your communication, logistics and organisation sucks, but these lads have it all on lock, they run a tight ship. Looking forward to seeing them take their music to new places and new faces!"
