Featuring original compositions by Tom and imaginative interpretations of Latin American classics and jazz standards, The sound of the Tom Kessler trio is inspired by influences ranging from Jim Hall to Jimi Hendrix. Over the years, the trio’s rhythm section has featured an array of world-renowned musicians, including Enrique Nativitas, Hans Glawischnig, Giovanni Figueroa, Jochen Rückert, Eric Surmenian, Pier Bruera and Joe Smith among others. Together, they have recorded multiple albums and performed across the globe at prestigious venues and festivals such as the Bilbaína Jazz Club (Spain), El Sótano (Costa Rica), Zinco Jazz Club (Mexico), Schlot Jazz Club (Germany), the Chihuahua Jazz Festival (Mexico), and many others.
