Vinnie Guidera & The Dead Birds are an indie-rock trio from Sacramento, CA. What started as a solo acoustic venture was built up for a full band with Lows (2015) and continued to evolve into a heavier, more textured conceptual project in Shedding (2018) while preserving moments of tenderness. Afterimage (2025) pushes this exploration further with blistering riffs and hypnotic grooves occupying a distinct sonic space. With Guidera's acoustic guitar plugged into a Marshall halfstack, the band's dynamic catalog ranges from fingerpicked elegies to fuzzy garage rock anthems.
