About

Years of Denial is the project of French musician and producer Jerome Tcherneyan, formerly the drummer of the cult British band Piano Magic, and Czech performance and music artist Barkosina Hanusova. Active since 2016, the duo has gained international recognition for their sharp productions and electrifying live performances, forging their own distinctive genre Suicide Disco.

Utilizing hardware and a plethora of dub devices combined with Barkosina’s unmistakable vocals, the pair revisit the dark corners of post-punk, goth, new beat, EBM, industrial, and rave culture. Their live shows inject rhythmic beats and pulsating arpeggios with heavy electronics fused with a spacey psychedelic sonic treatment. The duo operates on the dance floor with a powerful performative representation, creating an excursive, unforgettable experience.

Their extensive discography, produced mostly at Ark of Noise studio, spans releases on labels like Death & Leisure, Pinkman, and Veyl. Their albums, Suicide Disco (2019) and Suicide Disco Vol. 2 (2023), defined their sound and led to major remix EPs featuring reworks by Orphx, Silent Servant, and The Hacker, among others.

In 2025, they released Love Cuts EP, a fusion of death rock, future goth, and EBM, with poetic lyrics and relentless beats. They are currently working on their third album, Suicide Disco Vol. 3, which will be out in November 2026 on Veyl Records.
